Greetings, Fellow Distinguished Colleagues. Welcome to the CII website!

CII represents the eighth(8^th) university research center on the Missouri S&T campus. The lucky number 8 (in Chinese culture) is a good beginning and, I hope, will help to attract and unite S&T experts in the CII theme area to address grand challenges associated with the preservation and resilience of aging infrastructure. Our intent is to develop a key CII trademark centered on faculty talents and resources. Together, we can expand our convergence research capabilities by reaching out to other colleagues in the state of Missouri and beyond, and collaboratively seeking center-level opportunities in the fast-approaching era of the fourth industrial revolution. This new era expects to fuse digital, biological, and physical worlds with a growing use of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, robotics, the Internet of Things, and 3D printing technologies.
